A piece part of my new 'Cloris' series, inspired by a recent trip to the island of Kos.
 
‘Cloris’ was a Greek goddess who was associated with flowers and new growth - very significant for me at the moment. I am also interested in the distortion of an image how nothing is quite what it seems.
 
'Melting Petals' is inspired by the Greek Flowers seen on the island of Kos this piece explores the abstraction and distortion of the colours and tones of the flowers. The beautiful Pink Bougainvillea flower and the ice cream shapes of the the 'Frangipani flower.
The piece portrays the melting feeling of the Summer heat!
